This sterling silver necklace has been handcrafted by southside of Glasgow based Suzi Nicol Designs using the sand casting technique.

It was cast using a shell picked from Nairn beach in September 2025. The shell wasn't perfect by Suzi wanted to cast it to reflect the imperfections of nature.

Sand casting is an age-old technique that has been used for centuries. It involves using sand as the mould material, into which molten metal is poured.

Measuring approximately 2cm long by 1.5cm wide on an 18" sterling silver chain.
