This herbal soap from Jill of Crieff based Planet Soap, smells good enough to eat! The aniseed scent of fennel essential oil is blended with refreshing spearmint.

Fennel was popular  with the ancient Chinese, Egyptians and Romans, who believed it conveyed longevity, courage and strength. It has astringent properties which may be helpful in maintaining balance in oily skins and mature skin, and livening a dull complexion. Spearmint is known for its refreshing and uplifting effects. Contains skin-soothing (in soap!) nettle leaves. Gently exfoliating.

While used in safe quantities in the soap, fennel essential oil is generally best avoided during pregnancy.
