Big Yins are tall, solitary birds that like to stand up and entertain other wildlife on the banks of Scottish ponds, marshes and rivers.

Particularly common to the River Clyde, they have evolved distinctive boot-like feet to prevent them from becoming entangled in rusty shopping trolleys.
